Jacob Paul Beckelman, aka "Jake Sinatra" was born May 4th, 1992 in Montgomery General Hospital. Jake's parents, Karen Ann Wege & Paul Kevin Beckelman had 2 children; John Devin Beckelman (Jake's Older Brother) & Jake. Jake's father (Paul) had a very strong drug addiction & started using heroin. Paul spent all of the families money on this horrible habit & ran out on them in a desperate time of need. Karen (Jake's Mother) had no other choice but to take care of her 2 children. So Karen , Jake (1Year Old) & John (5 Years Old), moved from beltsville to laurel to calverton to greenbelt; They moved around a lot. Jake spent his adolescent years playing sports & learning the basics in school but then he started writing poetry when he was 10 years old showing a lot of interest in music. When Jake turned 12 years old, he stepped foot in the world of music by recording his first song "Pitch Black". By 14 years old, Jake was a phenomenon amongst youtube.com & his high school peers at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Prince George's County, Maryland. His first rap battle had over 200, 000 hits & Jake was on Fox 5 & ABC 7 news for being highly involved in the "Roosevelt Fight Klub". By 15 years old, Jake had began getting into mischievous activities & a little bit of legal trouble. Jake and a few friends had been arrested under drug charges but he was not charged and eventually the case was dropped. He steered off of the path of destruction & got back to his music where he began recording in 3 different local studios (ER ENT, Mullany Music, & StarLife Studios). Jake got more exposure in "The Baltimore Examiner" for working with his best friend/producer Lil' Yay. Life went a little sour & things would never be the same after March 6th, 2008, when Karen (Jake's Mother) was diagnosed with lung cancer & had to begin treatment as soon as possible. This affected Jake's concentration in the worst way because he could not focus on anything & felt like he was about to lose the only person he could depend on. On August 29, 2008, Jake had been called out of class that morning to only find that his mother had been rushed to the John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Karen (Jake's Mother) past away 15 minutes after Jake's arrival to John Hopkins Hospital. This changed Jake's perspective on life and he turned back to drugs & money as a way of life. This carried on for about a year and then Jake was arrested again, August 11th, 2009 for possession & intent to distribute in 3rd District, Washington, DC. The charges were knocked down to possession & then eventually dropped after Jake did 40 community service hours. Once again, Jake had decided to set everything aside & begin to focus on music and music only. Jake has worked with some big name & local producers including SuperStar-O, JS aka The Best, The Official, Mill Clinton, & Big Spiff. Jake has recorded over 10 mixtapes but has not had the push/promotion needed to let people hear his artistic, new, creative sound. "I Quit Rapping Yesterday" is the next tape expected to drop by Jake Sinatra. Jake is now working with DanDaCameraMan on several new visual projects for "I Quit Rapping Yesterday". Recently, Jake Sinatra found himself under new management looking for the next best thing in his career which is doing as many showcases & open mic's as possible; locally & traveling.
